How to create local landing pages for each city or area you serve
Create one page for each area you really serve, and make each one genuinely different: local details, prices or travel fees for that area, photos and reviews from jobs there, and a clear way to book. Avoid copy-paste pages that only swap the city name; Google treats those as doorway pages.
Why it matters
People search with a place in mind: 'deep cleaning Dubai Marina', 'emergency plumber Salford', 'dentist near JLT'. A page about that exact area answers that search better than a general services page.
Local pages also help with ads. A Google Ads campaign for a city converts better when the click lands on a page that names the city, shows local proof and the price for that area.
The risk is real, though. Google's spam policies name doorway pages: lots of near-identical pages built only to rank for each place name. Fewer, richer pages are both safer and more useful.
How to do it by hand
List the areas you really serve
Start with the areas where you already have customers and can arrive on time. Five strong pages beat fifty thin ones. Group tiny neighbourhoods into one page where it makes sense.
Collect local facts for each area
Travel fee or minimum order, typical jobs there (villas vs apartments, old buildings vs new), building access rules, parking, local landmarks, and how fast you can usually get there.
Gather proof from that area
A few reviews from customers in that area (with permission), before and after photos from real jobs there, and the names of buildings or communities you've worked in.
Write a clear page structure
H1 with the service and the area, a short answer about what you offer there and the price range, what's included, local details, proof, FAQs specific to that area, and one main button (book, call or WhatsApp).
Publish and link them sensibly
Link each page from an 'Areas we serve' section on your services page, and from your Google Business Profile if it fits. Use a clean address like /deep-cleaning/dubai-marina.
Check and prune
After a couple of months, look at which pages get visits and enquiries. Improve the ones that do and merge or remove the ones that don't.
How to do it in Wirk
- Automate → Workflows → Landing pages → Local guide page: fill in the area, who it's written for and the main search phrase, plus the contact method and look.
- For an offer page instead, use Create → Landing page (the Offer landing page workflow).
- Open the page in Website → Pages and click Put it live.
- To serve it on your own domain (paid plans), connect the domain in Settings → Domains and choose Use my domain.

Local landing page copy
FreshNest Cleaning, a home cleaning company in Dubai
A page for deep cleaning in Dubai Marina, written to be clearly different from their JLT and Downtown pages.
Deep cleaning in Dubai Marina A full top-to-bottom clean for Marina apartments, from AED 650 for a one-bedroom. Two to four cleaners, all equipment and products included, usually bookable within 48 hours. Button: Get a quote on WhatsApp
Most Marina homes are high-rise apartments with balconies that face the sea, so salt and sand build up on glass, rails and sliding-door tracks faster than inland. Our Marina deep clean includes balcony glass (inside reach), door tracks and AC vent covers as standard. We book service-lift slots with your building's management in advance, and we bring our own parking permit arrangements, so you don't need to arrange anything.
| Home | Cleaners | Time | From |
|---|---|---|---|
| Studio | 2 | 4–5 hours | AED 500 |
| 1 bedroom | 2 | 5–6 hours | AED 650 |
| 2 bedrooms | 3 | 5–6 hours | AED 850 |
| 3 bedrooms | 4 | 6–7 hours | AED 1,100 |
Do you need building permission? Some Marina towers ask for a contractor's form. Tell us your building and we'll send it to management for you. Can you clean on Fridays? Yes, but Friday slots fill first, so book a few days ahead.

Common mistakes
Copying one page and swapping the city name
This is the classic doorway page. It rarely ranks for long and can drag down the rest of the site. Every page needs real local substance.
Pages for places you don't serve
Creating pages for cities you can't reach annoys customers and wastes your budget on enquiries you have to turn down.
No local proof
Without reviews, photos or building names from that area, the page reads like an ad. Proof from the neighbourhood is what convinces people.
Forgetting the booking path
A beautiful page with only a contact form at the bottom loses people. Put one clear button near the top and repeat it after the prices.
Questions and answers
How many local landing pages should I create?
One for each area where you have real customers and something specific to say. For most small businesses that's between three and fifteen. Start with your best areas and add more when you have proof from them.
Are city pages considered spam by Google?
Not if they're genuinely useful and different. Google's spam policies target doorway pages: many near-identical pages built only to rank for place names. Pages with local prices, details and proof are fine.
Should each location have its own Google Business Profile?
Only if you have a real, staffed location there. Service-area businesses should have one profile with service areas set, and use landing pages for the areas they cover.
What should the page address look like?
Short and readable, with the service and the area, for example /deep-cleaning/dubai-marina. Avoid long strings of keywords in the address.
